The effect of mathematics laboratory pedagogy in teaching and learning of mathematics was studied. The research
shows a significant difference between the mean scores and gender of students taught using the Mathematics
Laboratory Pedagogy (MLP) and those taught in the usual classroom setting. The study also shows significant
difference between the mean interest scores and retention capacity of students taught using the mathematics laboratory
pedagogy and those taught using the conventional methods. Null hypotheses were formulated and Analysis of
Convariance (ANCOVA) was employed for the study. Results show that in a learning environment where there are
concrete tools for learning mathematics in the laboratory students understand and perform better than in the absence of
mathematics laboratory. The research also indicates that students retain mathematics knowledge and concepts and
develop higher interest in learning when exposed to the mathematical laboratory setting.

In this paper, modeling and forecasting typhoid mortality rate using ARIMA models was examined. Box-Jenkins
Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) was employed to analyze typhoid mortality rate in Delta State.
The study intended mainly to forecast the typhoid mortality rate for the coming years. Series of tentative models were
developed to forecast the mortality rate, but based on minimum AIC and BIC values and after the estimation of
parameters and series of diagnostic test were performed, ARIMA(0,1,0) model was proved to be the best model for
forecasting after satisfying the model assumptions. The forecasted results revealed a decreasing pattern of typhoid
mortality rate 2019 to 2022.

The national innovation-driven development strategy urgently needs a large number of high-quality innovative talents.
Since 2010, Qingdao University of Science and Technology has adhered to the teaching philosophy of “compromising
foundation, strengthening practice, and scientific research innovation”, aiming at improving students' innovative
practice ability, and building and implementing “teaching, practice and practice” with mathematical modeling teaching
and practice as the starting point. The five-level hierarchical mathematics modeling teaching system of scientific
research "two-axis linkage, "curriculum system construction, teaching model reform, practical teaching optimization,
competition activity development, scientific research ability improvement" has achieved fruitful results.

This paper mainly deals with the trajectory of a near-Earth satellite constrained to move in a great-circle plane by
means of a propulsion system contained in it. The vector equations of motion of the satellite with respect to a
rectangular frame rigidly fixed to the surface of the Earth are formed. Its trajectory relative to the rotating Earth is
analyzed taking into consideration that it is acted on by two forces: gravitational force and coriolis force; the
aerodynamic forces being very small are neglected. The component of the coriolis force perpendicular to the greatcircle plane is balanced by the side thrust generated in the satellite at all time instants. Two numerical examples related
to an elliptic orbit and a circular orbit respectively is cited. The centrifugal force being very small compared to the
coriolis force is also neglected. Finally, an approximate formula has been derived to determine the drift of a satellite
from its initial plane, ie, great-circle plane, if it is allowed to move freely for a short interval of time compared to its
orbital period, ie, the satellite propulsion is shut off during that interval of time and the magnitude of deflection caused
by the coriolis force has been numerically found in two cases

Climate change means any significant long-term change in the weathering rate (which can include temperature, wind
conditions and rainfall) that occurs in a particular area. Changes can occur due to the dynamic processes of the Earth,
external forces and human activities. A study was carried out to identify trends in mean temperature (maximum and
minimum), air temperature, and relative humidity time series of weather station covering a period of 50 years in Najaf
city south-west of Iraq. To determine a strong relationship between two variables between years and months of mean
temperature (maximum and minimum), air temperature, and relative humidity forecasting the parameters, which were
statistically measured by Pearson’s Correlation coefficients(r) using SPSS program. Also, the variables are plotted.
Variables and Regression equations were considered for analysis 12 a month basis. The results show that mean
minimum temperature have increased month to month, but month July the trend increased more than before up to the
maximum value (0.04). While relative humidity trends have decreased by a value except for November.

Globally, buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of the total world annual energy consumption. Most of this
energy is for the provision of lighting, heating, cooling, and air conditioning. Increasing awareness of the
environmental impact of CO2, NOx and CFCs emissions triggered a renewed interest in environmentally friendly
cooling, and heating technologies. Under the 1997 Montreal Protocol, governments agreed to phase out chemicals
used as refrigerants that have the potential to destroy stratospheric ozone. It was therefore considered desirable to
reduce energy consumption and decrease the rate of depletion of world energy reserves and pollution of the
environment. This article discusses a comprehensive review of energy sources, environment and sustainable
development. This includes all the renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency systems, energy conservation
scenarios, energy savings and other mitigation measures necessary to reduce climate change.
