Abstract
Cardiac tumors benign and malignant are rare. However, when there is clinical suspicion, proper diagnostic evaluation is necessary to plan the most appropriate treatment. The therapeutic management differs fundamentally according to the nature of the cardiac mass and tumor type ,and depends on clinical circumstances such as hemodynamic failure, invasive growth, and metastatic spreading, which either prompt for an intervention or rather make it irrational.(1,2)The imaging method most frequently used to assess a suspicious cardiac lesion is the transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE).(2,3)However, in the last few years, cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) has been established as the gold standard for imaging and evaluation of cardiac masses. (4)CMRI is a non invasive technique, does not use involve radiation, has a wide field of view and provides high contrast resolution and also allows the evaluation of cardiac morphology, tissue property and function in a single exam.
