Abstract
Tinea favosa is a chronic inflammatory dermatophytic infection of the scalp caused by T. schoenleinii. It is transmitted by contagion between individuals and is still endemic in Africa. We describe a singular case of tinea capitis favosa caused by Trichophyton schoenleinii observed in two years old girl. After physical exam and laboratory data the diagnosis was confirmed. she was treated with success by griseofulvin for 6 weeks and topical treatment.
