Acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is a potentially life threatening adverse event associated with exposure to more than 300different medications including antibiotics such as daptomycin. Definitive diagnosis of this process presents a challenge given the overlap of clinical characteristics with alternative diagnoses and potential lack of awareness.
