Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine if there is any significant relationship between social capital and adolescences’ delinquency. This study uses survey, as a method, and its statistical population is all of undergraduate students of high schools in Shiraz city (a city of Iran). Using Cochran formula, 600 students were selected. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. The factors influencing adolescences’ delinquency in the research are variables such as social involvement, trust in teachers, parental trust, teachers’ support, parental support, and participation in household chores. To see how much these dimensions of social capital can explain delinquency multivariate logistic regression is used. The independent variables in the regression analysis were able to explain 44% (Cox and Snell’s square) to 58% (Nagel kerksquare) of the variability in the dependent variable.
