In the following paper there are presented the outline of research conducted at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology. The research work concerns the questions of high quality public space creation with the use of art. The main aim is to identify and assess existing spaces with regard to the implementation of interactive pieces of urban furniture. The research concerns the influence of art on the creation of high quality public space within historic center ofcity of Poznań.
