Abstract
This is a retrospective study aimed to identify the microbial etiology of infectious endophthalmitis cases and to determine the antibacterial susceptibilities of bacterial isolates at Sarojini Devi Eye hospital a tertiary care eye hospital. A total of 52 patients with clinically diagnosed infectious endophthalmitis were microbiological evaluated from Jan 2016 to April 2018. Aqueous and vitreous aspirates were aseptically collected and cultured for bacteria and fungus using standard microbiological techniques.The specimens were subjected to Gram-staining and KOH mount.
