Abstract
Neuroendocrine tumors of the larynx are a rare and heterogeneous group of tumors, predominantly male. WHO(World Health Organization) classified these tumors into 3 groups according to the degree of differentiation and the size of the cell; composed of, typical and atypical carcinoid tumor, and small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma. An accurate diagnosis by histological study is essential; because the clinical presentation, the evolution and the prognosis vary according to the tumor type.Atypical carcinoid tumors of the larynx are treated by radical or conservative surgery, depending on the anatomical extent of the tumor; Chemotherapy / adjuvant radiotherapy can be discussed. Through a case of moderately differentiated neuroendocrine tumor of the larynx and a review of the literature, we discuss the clinical, radiological and histological aspects as well as the therapeutic management of neuroendocrine tumors of the larynx.
