Abstract
Aluminium phosphide is widely used as a pesticide and it is one of the preferred chemical utilized for suicidal poisoning with a high incidence reported from a predominantly agricultural northern India. The case of a young man is described who suffered from acute Necrotising pancreatitis related to the ingestion of aluminium phosphide (CELPHOS). This unusual complication was successfully managed with conservative treatment.
