Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse the social determinants of patient’s abandonment of the Yopougon-Attié ATC1. To achieve this objective, a methodology based on a dual qualitative and quantitative approach was used. This has allowed us to achieve the following results: Factors of different kinds are likely, according to societies, to influence the outcome of preventive and therapeutic efforts. It is clear that any intervention strategy for tuberculosis diagnosis, prevention and treatment must be based directly on the local socio-cultural context.
