A Comparative Study on Spiritual Intelligence between Arts and Commerce College going Students

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to find out the level and the difference in the level of Spiritual Intelligence between Arts and Commerce College going students. Spiritual Intelligence as a set of mental capacities which contribute to the awareness, integration, and adaptive application of then on material and transcendent aspects of one's existence, leading to such outcomes as deep existential reflection, enhancement of meaning, recognition of a transcendent self and the mastery of spiritual states. This intelligence has now become one of the important ability to understand the existence and purpose in life; This also leads to increased level of subjective well-being in humans. For the present study, a sample of 200 students was collected from the colleges of Jaipur and Ajmer city on the basis of convenience sampling. A Standardized Psychological test was used for the purpose of raw data collection. The nature of the study was primary data collection. The Spiritual Intelligence self-Report Inventory (SISRI-24) developed by king and Teresa [3] was used. The independent sample t value was found to be 3.423 which is significant at 0. 01level. This indicates states that there is a significant difference in the level of Spiritual Intelligence between Arts and Commerce college going students.
