Abstract
Femur fracture is a common, possibly overwhelming event for patients particularly geriatric with nearly 1.6 million hip fractures occurring yearly worldwide. Regional anesthesia compared to general anesthesia has many advantages in terms of decreased morbidity and mortality. This study will be conducted to explore the effect of administration a small dose of ketamine in avoiding pain at the fracture location when administered prior executing spinal anesthesia in the sitting position for patients suffering from femur bone fracture. This is a retrospective observational cross-sectional study. Data will be collected from patients’ medical profiles and anesthesia sheet.
