Abstract
The adsorption behavior of Rhodamine B dye from aqueous solution was investigated using prosopis juliflora bark carbon. The effects of various experimental factors such as contact time, adsorbent dose, initial dye concentration, pH and temperature were studied by using the batch technique. The adsorption capacities were evaluated by using Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherm models. Thermodynamic parameters were calculated and it was found that the adsorption of Rhodamine B dye using prosopis juliflora bark carbon was an exothermic and spontaneous process. Pseudo second order and intraparticle diffusion model shows good applicability with very high correlation coefficient values.
