Abstract
Desmoid tumor, or aggressive fibromatosis, is a benign fibrous tissue tumor characterized by a high potential for locoregional invasion; it causes significant morbidity, particularly when located in the head and neck region. We report the case of an 11-month-old infant presenting with disfiguring aggressive fibromatosis [desmoid tumor] of the right infratemporal fossa. The diagnosis was established via histological analysis of a tumor biopsy, and treatment consisted of surgical resection; however, signs of cervical recurrence appeared one year postoperatively.
