Abstract
Electrosurgery which can also be called as radiosurgery has been used in dentistry for more than 50years. Electrosurgery is a controlled precise application of radiofrequency electrical current to the soft tissue site to be cut which is achieved by means of carefully designed electrodes. Electrosurgery is used in almost all branches of dentistry. Electrosurgery is a continuously evolving field with active research into various new applications.
