In the traditional urbanization, the government plays a leading role on economic growth, and it leads to a lot of serious problems such as the unreasonable city planning, environmental pollution and so forth. Those issues have become a threat to economy, so the paper analyzes the main problems of government-oriented economy during traditional urbanization and then proposes some new methods for government driving economy in new urbanization.
