Abstract
Currently, laparoscopic appendectomy is widely practiced for the management of appendicitis in developed countries, still there are many questions regarding the advantages and disadvantages of this approach in the treatment of appendicitis. Several controlled trails have been conducted, some in favor of laparoscopic appendectomy other not. The aim of this study was to evaluate laparoscopic appendectomy in comparison with open appendectomy with operative time, post operative pain, post operative hospital stay and return to normal activity.
