Abstract
Psychogenic polydipsia, characterized by excessive water intake without physiological stimulus seems to be associated with mood disorders, mental retardation, alcohol dependency, postencephalitic syndromes, organic mental disorders, anorexia nervosa and personality disorders. This case presentation aims at discussing the diagnostic spectrum for psychogenic polydipsia over a case of psychogenic polydipsia responding to oxcarbazepine.
