Abstract
Phenytoin is a highly effective anticonvulsant agent. The side effects of phenytoin continue to create significant morbidity. Patients receiving phenytoin may develop benign lymphoid hyperplasia, pseudolymphoma, pseudopseudolymphoma, or, rarely, malignant lymphoma. Obtaining a history of phenytoin use is crucial in the diagnosis of such patients.
