Abstract
Condylar hyperplasia is a complex deformity of temporomandibular joint which involves excessive growth of condyle. Asymmetric facial deformity (AFD) is one of the consequences of condylar hyperplasia, which may often cause an alteration of the dental occlusion with unilateral crossbite or open bite. It af¬fects more commonly women in adolescence age group, although it does not discriminate by age or gender. There are two types of condylar hyperplasia, horizontal and vertical growth. Correct diagnosis is critical in determining the proper treatment plan. This article highlights on case reports of unilateral condylar hyperplasia in three patients and the diagnosis was made on clinical presentation and radiographic interpretation.
