Abstract
Workplace Spirituality is a concept that has gained traction in the recent years. It has been proved to be a very beneficial construct for individuals and organizations. Out of the dimensions of workplace spirituality, relational dimension (connection) is considered by many researchers to be the most vital. This dimension is about building and maintaining relationship with co-workers and community. But, this depends on the personality of an individual. Some are able to make relationships much faster than others as they have the ability to understand others’ emotions and modify their behaviour accordingly to suit the setting. Such people are called high self-monitors. Low self-monitors, on the other hand, always try to portray their true inner self. The relational dimension of workplace spirituality is about creating genuine relationships with the co-workers. In such a context, the question that rises is whether high self-monitors or low self-monitors are the best suited.
