This research was aimed to determine physical characteristic of purple sweet potato starch with ultrasonication method. Purple sweet potato starch was extracted using conventional method. The research used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design with three factors and each treatment was repeated three times. The factors were starch liquid ratio (1:1, 2:1), sonication time (15, 30, 45 minutes) and sonication temperature (30, 40, 50°C). The investigated parameters were bulk density, swelling power, solubility, water adsorption index, and viscosity. The result showed that solid liquid ratio of purple sweet potato starch and ultrasonication temperature had significant effect on bulk density, swelling power, solubility, water adsorption index, and viscosity. Interaction of solid liquid ratio and sonication time had significant effect on bulk density and viscosity. The interaction of the three factors had significant effect on bulk density only. Based on the lowest bulk density, the best treatment of this research was modified purple sweet potato starch with solid liquid ratio 1:1 on ultrasonication temperature 30°C at 15 minutes with swelling power 15,48%, solubility 26,17%, water absorption index 101,38%, and water content 8,29%.

In this study, total flavonoids of portulaca oleracea were extracted by ultrasonic method and prepared as tablets, single factor test was used to screen the optimal preparation process of tablets. Results show that, when the pressure was 7.5, the adhesive was 4% cross-linked povidone dry powder, and the excipient formula was lactose: dextrin 1:1, all the tablets obtained were in accordance with the indicators under the tablet of Chinese pharmacopoeia.

This paper presents the development of software for exergy analysis of gas turbine. The turbine plant consists of an air compressor, combustion chamber and turbine unit. In the development of the software, flowcharts and algorithm were developed to aid the coding of the software. Visual basic.net (6.0) programming tool was used as the programming language in coding the software. Data was collected from the external operator log sheet and panel operator log sheet of the gas turbine unit, power plant and utilities department of Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, Ekpan-Warri, Nigeria. An analysis was carried out using manual computation and subsequently the developed software was used to perform same analysis. Several verification tests carried out using the developed software showed that the software result is consistently close to 100% accuracy. The results obtained for the combustion and turbine unit of the plant indicates that the combustion chamber has the highest exergy efficiency (94.20%) while the highest exergy losses (13.18%) occurred at the turbine unit.

Social distancing means maintaining a distance or space between people to help prevent the spread of the disease. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of infection, stay away from others at least 6 feet (1.8 meters). Maintaining physical spacing is important, even if you're not sick. Coronavirus spreads easily through the spray of small droplets resulting from coughing and sneezing. It can also spread through daily contacts, such as shaking hands, sharing things, or touching common surfaces. Some people may not have symptoms, but they can still transmit the virus to others. Even when they feel better, they may continue to spread the virus for some time.
