Abstract
Persuasive communication is of great relevance as far as entrepreneurship is concerned. It assumes a still greater significance for fledgling entrepreneurs. The paper focuses on the significance of persuasive communication skills for women entrepreneurs in the contemporary business environment of Odisha, with particular emphasis on fledgling entrepreneurs. It attempts to study the areas and the specific situations where persuasive communication is considered most relevant for the entrepreneurs and discuss the problems they encounter while trying to persuade in their day to day business.
