Abstract
Fine needle aspiration (FNA) is a well-recognized modality for investigation of thyroid pathology. It is simple, reliable, inexpensive and generally safe procedure in the diagnosis of thyroid cysts and nodules. We report a case of right thyroid abscess following FNA of a simple thyroid cyst.
