Abstract
Carotid Cavernous Fistula (CCF) is a spontaneous or acquired communication between the carotid artery and cavernous sinus. The cavernous segment of the carotid artery is unique. It is the only location in the body where an artery is completely surrounded by a venous structure. Here we are reporting a 50 year old diabetic normotensive female who presented with headache, pain, swelling and redness of her right eye, finally diagnosed for caroticocavernous fistula after ruling out other causes of proptosis.
