Intracranial dermoid cysts are uncommon lesions. They account for <1% of all intracranial masses, with characteristic imaging appearances, they are usually well-defined lobulated midline masses that have low attenuation (fat density) on computed tomography CT and high signal intensity on T1-weighted the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Typically they do not enhance after contrast administration. Rupture of intracranial dermoid cysts (RICDC) is a rare phenomenon and in this article we report two additional cases to the literature. The rupture can be traumatic or non-traumatic and CT is often adequate in making a diagnosis of this entity, MRI can complete the characterization showing presence of T1 hyperintense droplets and leptomeningeal enhancement. This complication can be treated surgically or conservatively depending on the clinical symptoms.

Stress is frequently described as ‘the black plague of the eighties or the modern epidemic’ has become an important feature and major problem of everyday life, threatening individual, organization and societal health. It has also been found that different nurses experience job stress differently. Some studies reported that senior registered nurses and charge nurses experienced a higher degree of stress than other ranks of nurses. Hence a study was conducted to assess the Occupational Stress among nursing officers from the selected hospitals in Sikar city with a View to Develop a stress management protocol.” A structured interview schedule was used to determine the Occupational Stress among nursing officers. Non Experimental descriptive design is used on 50 nursing officers from the selected hospitals in Sikar. The technique used in the study is Non probability convenient sampling technique and it shows that the overall mean stress score was found to be 39% in nursing officers. The mean stress score was found to be higher 64% in the aspect of safety and security, followed by 45.2% in work load, work organization and 35.2% in interpersonal relationship at work. Further, the less stress score (26.6%) found in the area of preparation, skills and knowledge and 30% in working with patients and their family.

Taking into account the frequency, morbidity and mortality of peritoneal adhesion, they constitute a real public health problem in both developed and emerging countries. Small bowel obstruction (SBO) due to postoperative adhesions is their main presentation. We report a case of patient admitted to the emergency department after a 5 hours-onset small bowel obstruction with a history of appendectomy 5 years ago. According to the onset of symptoms, hemodynamic stability and normal blood tests, we choose a non-surgical management. With the hemodynamic deterioration non resolution of the obstruction the patient was operated. Postoperative adhesions are currently the main cause of acute small bowel obstruction. The most effective prevention way is the respect of the general principles of abdominal surgery.

Hydatid cyst is caused by the infestation of the larvae of taenia echinococcus. They are mostly found in liver or lungs [1]. Brain infestation occurs in 1-2% cases of echinococcus infection. Isolated hydatid cyst in brain is rare presentation [2, 3]. Cysts may drain into ventricles or rupture completely, causing spillage of contents into the subarachnoid space, leading to fatal anaphylactic shock, meningitis or local recurrence .we are presenting a case of left temporal lobe isolated hydatid cyst in 65 year old lady with exclusive presentation and operated in time showed wonderful outcome.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMTD) is a hereditary peripheral neuropathy and is characterized by progressive muscle atrophy and motor-senrory disorders in all 4 limbs. A 27-year- old man was scheduled to undergo endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty and turbinoplasty due to chronic paranasal sinusitis, deviated septal nose and both chronic hypertrophic rhinitis. He had been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in 2008. General anesthesia was induced with propofol 120 mg and the intubating condition was achieved with rocuronium 50 mg. Anesthesia was maintained with 1.5-2% sevoflurane and remifentanil. During surgery, the body temperature and end tidal concentration of CO2 were maintained within the normal range. Despite the continuous monitoring of the train-of-four (TOF) response, no more muscle relaxants were required during surgery and the patient recovered with suggamadex 200mg and the patient awaked without a delay. In the management of patients with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, it is desirable to evaluate the patient carefully, select the appropriate anesthetics and adjust the dosage of the drug according to the patients requirements.

At present, the new type of coronavirus (COVID-2019) has become a pandemic infectious disease in the world, which has caused a huge impact on the economy, people's lives, lives and property of all countries in the world. However, due to the different economic conditions and systems of various countries in the world, coupled with the inadequacy of testing equipment and personal protective equipment in many countries, the roads to fight the epidemic are different. To this end, a correlation analysis model based on economy, policy, medical treatment and the severity of the COVID-19 epidemic was constructed, and the calculation results of several correlation analysis models were compared to explore the impact of economy, policy, and medical treatment on the severity of the COVID-19 epidemic. The results show that the H-convex correlation is more suitable for the study of this problem. The impact of economy, policy, and medical treatment on the severity of the COVID-19 epidemic is negatively correlated, and the impact of the policy has reached -0.861.

Systemic lupus erythematosus in children (childhood onset SLE/cSLE) have a great variability in disease presentation. Any organ system can be involved in cSLE leading to protean clinical manifestations. In this case report, we present a 11-year-old Bangladeshi girl who presented with inflammatory pain in multiple joints, high-grade intermittent fever, headache, high blood pressure, and generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Detailed clinical examination with laboratory and imaging studies clinched the diagnosis of SLE and the involved organs include skin, mucosa, joint, haemopoietic system, kidney, and brain. In presenting this case and reviewing the literature, we emphasize the importance of very high index of suspicion for diagnosis of cSLE for early diagnosis, treatment and meticulous monitoring.

Intramedullary metastases (IMM) are rare. Lung cancer is the most common primary. We report in this work the case of a 59-year-old patient, previously treated with chemo-radiotherapy for locally advanced lung cancer, who presented with an isolated intramedullary relapse. Palliative radiotherapy and systemic corticosteroids were initiated with an improvement of neurological symptoms. The patient died 3 months after the diagnosis of IMM. Through this work, we underline the singularity of the isolated character of the reported relapse and the importance of an early diagnosis of these lesions, often associated with a poor prognosis.

Giant phyllodes tumors (PT) are those measuring more than ten centimeters. To date, there are eight cases of giant PT treated with mastectomy and breast reconstruction (BR) reported in the English literature. Almost all reports focused on the tumor size rather than the chest wall tissue defect size after tumor extirpation. While mastectomy is almost inevitable in all giant PT’s, none of the previously reported cases discussed on the impact of PT to the patient’s psychology and quality of life (QOL). We report a challenging giant PT case with the largest chest wall defect ever reported so far, treated with mastectomy and BR, with good cosmetic and psychological outcomes.

Meningiomas are extramedullary, intradural tumors arising from meningothelial arachnoid cap cells within the spinal dura. Spinal meningiomas are the most common spinal tumors in adults, accounting for up to 38% of intradural spinal tumors but only for 6.5% of overall craniospinal tumors in the adult age group. Similar histological subtypes are observed in both intracranial and spinal meningiomas, including meningothelial, metaplastic, psammomatous, transitional, atypical, and clear cell types. Multiple genes have been associated with spinal meningiomas like deletion of chromosome 22q and of its associated gene NF2 in cases of spinal meningioma. We are presenting a case of Intradural meningioma in a 30 year old female and her 50 year old mother.

Maxillofacial trauma is frequent and affects a young population. The upper airway intubation technique for intraoperative ventilation is problematic in patients with a fracture of the ethmino-nasal axis associated with a maxillary fracture with occlusal impact. In fact, orotracheal intubation does not allow control of occlusion and the nasotracheal route causes reduction of centro-facial fractures. In these cases, the tracheostomy or Submental intubation (ISM) is a ventilation modality to consider. However, a tracheostomy has a high potential complication rate and in many patients an alternative to oral airways is not needed beyond the perioperative period. Which makes sub-mental intubation an excellent alternative to operate on this type of patient.

Forty volunteers (comprising of four families whose members were both amalgamation of nuclear and extended) and eight COVID 19 disease confirmed positive cases unisex attending National Hospital Abuja either as in /out patients randomly participated in this pilot study; The sole objective was to determine the effectiveness of Joseleen herbal lipids mixture as both therapeutic and prophylactic agent against COVID 19 disease. We initially proposed Joseleen Herbal Mixture as a prophylactic agent for COVID19 disease, following its high potential of protecting individuals against Coronavirus infection, as evidenced from haemagglutination inhibition assay16,17 carried out using influenza virus, a closely related virus with 80% sequence homology. Randomized assay conducted on those infected with COVID 19 disease revealed its high therapeutic potential, after administering informed consent questionnaires to volunteers. Four indicators were used to critically appraise the herbal lipids mixture. These were, Percentage overall rating of the herbal lipids Mixture by volunteers; Their prophylactic experience with the herbal mixture after staying with COVID 19 patients for a period between 20 – 60 days; Curative experience of the volunteers who were infected initially with corona virus; Side effect experience of these same group of volunteers. The outcomes showed, percentage ratings of 83.1%, 94.43%, 100% and 17% respectively. ANOVA statistic technique revealed significantly different high percentage ratings among the first three indicators (P ≤ 0.05). However, the side effect percentage rating was significantly lower than the other three indicators (P≤ 0.05). Thus, Joseleen herbal mixture is both effectively therapeutic and prophylactic against COVID 19 pandemic disease. The case fatality rate was zero % with respect to this research, using Joseleen herbal lipids mixture as COVID 19 remedy.
